Randia armata 5.5 inch pots.
Shrub to small tree with white fragrant flowers and possibly edible fruit. Native to northern regions of South America. Seems to require some shade and lots of water. Growth after the 1st years seems to be moderate to fast. Short thorns on most side branches. This is a tropical plant and I don't expect that it will have much tolerance for cool or cold temperatures. Slightly acidic soil high in organic mater. Fertilize with a formula that has iron and magnesium to maintain deep green color in the leaves. Seems to be growing well in containers. Plants are 16 to 24 inches tall.
