Pouteria sp. (Ross Sapote) 4x10 inch tree pot

Ross sapote is similar in flavor to canistel (aka egg fruit). I prefer this species since it has a less musky and more fruity flavor. Fruits are ripe when very soft. Thin skin is easily removed. Small trees are best in full sun or light shade. Seems to thrive in slightly acidic soil with high organic matter. Outdoors in Zones 10 and higher.
