Pouteria caimito - Abiu 4x4x10 tree pot

Common Name: Abiu. 3 to 4.5 inch fruit with sweet translucent flesh with hint of caramel and  vanilla. Fruit ripen to bright yellow and are best when picked fully ripe. Small trees can reach 20 to 30 ft.  They can be kept trimmed to facilitate harvest.  Native to Brazil but widely cultivated in the tropics. Trees begin to bear at 4 to 6 years old.  Plants grow best on slightly acid soil. Use a balanced fertilizer with micronutrients. Iron and magnesium will help maintain deep green color. Outdoors in Zones 10B to 11; I don't expect this species to tolerate cool temperatures. Best growth is above 60F.

Grown in 4x4x10 inch tree pot.  Shipping weight 3.7 lbs.  Certified to ship to all 50 US states.
