Morinda citrifolia (noni fruit) 5.5 inch square pot
Large shrub with 4 inch oblong fruit which ripen to a pale white or cream color. Large ovate dark green leaves. Fruits are used for juice. Also, dehydrated fruit powder can be found as capsules or tablets in herb section of pharmacies and health food stores. Plants are cultivated at low elevations throughout the tropical Pacific. Prefers warm to hot temperatures and does not thrive in high elevation or cool areas. Full sun. Good drainage is essential. If growing in containers be sure to add perlite to the potting mix. Grows well even in poor soil with minimal fertilizer. Most commercial noni fertilizers are high in potassium. Plants begin to bear fruit at about 3 ft. tall. Outdoors in USDA Zone 11.
