Browneopis ucayalina (5.5 inch square pot)
This tropical small to medium tree is native to Ecuador. Spectacular new growth flushes occur 3 to 4 times per year. New growth matures to a medium green. Plants begin to bloom when 6 or 7 ft. tall. Cluster of white flowers are about 5 inches in diameter. Requires warm humid growing conditions and protection from wind. Keep moist do not allow to dry out. Slightly acidic soil high in organic matter. Benefits from applications of iron and magnesium. Outdoors in USDA Zone 11. Seems to grow well for a number of years in a large container.
