Rare tropical tree. New growth is cream to light green and pendant. Mature plants produce clusters of white flower; cluster is about 5 inches in diameter. Prefers light to medium shade. Tropical conditions. Native to equatorial regions of South America. Outdoors in Zone 11 or in a greenhouse. Prefers slightly acidic soil high in organic matter.
